Not sure that's a feature I need, but nice to see Kuhn Rikon selling
something affordable. I have the their 5qt p/c, but would've never
paid the price if I hadn't found it for 50% off. As for the peeler, I
notice no one, not even KR, shows a close up:

Show us a macro-pic of the blade, Steve. I trust your endorsement. I
just want to see it! ;)

Another intriguing item. I need something to subdue the wild daikon
and domestic carrot for use in the exotic Banh Mi sandwich and I'm not
in the mood to squander $50-150 for bragging rights. Thnx for the
heads up.

This little gizmo is perfect for julienne...

http://i2.tinypic.com/205qmit.jpg

same size as a veg peeler (about 15cm long) has criss crossed blades,
though you do have to have a fairly robust (hard) veg to julienne and
NEVER try poking the last of the veg through with fingers (note from
the wise...) PULL the veg through from the already julienned
area........
Found it in one of the kitchen shops, in the utensils section (geez
those areas are seriously addictive!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Is it like a male domination thing Carol?
(just wondering...)
Or is it because most people wouldn't bother, but Steve won't be beaten
by a mere veg?
(Personnaly thinking it's commendable to have goals.)

I don't peel peppers, I hold them over a flame and rub the skins off.

Aw, that takes all the fun out of having a new gadget! Sheesh! (That
peeler *does* look impressive, and I've bookmarked the webpage.)

That's why I always use oven roasted ones... no skin..no seed...no
nasties!
(and a jolly sight easier getting skins off once roasted, than peeling
I dare say!)

Personally I think Mr Morrow has been spending too much time with the
Dr. Laura group... apparently group therapy isn't working for him. Not
surprising really.

Gee... and my care factor indicator again registers a great big zero.

Mr Morrow keep your diatribes for your celebrity chats.

Wonder of wonders ... and all vowels in their correct place. Well done!

Did you cut & paste perchance?

Well at least - thanks to one of my posts - you can spell the word
correctly.
Glad to have aided in your education Mr Morrow.
